Rosanna was elected Solicitor-General in 2006. She has over 19 years experience as a prosecuting attorney. She has served Gwinnett County since 1989. For eight years, she was an Assistant Solicitor assigned to a courtroom where she tried more than 300 jury trials and was responsible for the prosecution of thousands of criminal misdemeanor cases. In 1997, she was appointed Chief Assistant Solicitor of State Court and Solicitor of Recorder’s Court managing the daily operations of the office and its fifty-five employees. Before coming to the Gwinnett Solicitor’s Office, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in Milledgeville, Georgia. She earned her law degree in 1987 at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, and her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 1983 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Rosanna has been married for 17 years to Louis, a Gwinnett County Police Officer of over 18 years and veteran of the U.S. Army and Georgia National Guard. They have a teenage son and daughter, both students of Gwinnett County public schools. Rosanna has called Gwinnett home for 19 years. She was raised in Florida where her mother and father, a retired classroom school teacher, still reside. Rosanna is a parishioner and religious instructor at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church, a member of the South Gwinnett Rotary and United Way Women’s Legacy, an alumnus of Leadership Gwinnett, and she has served on the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services, the Gwinnett County Family Violence Task Force, the Gwinnett County Revitalization Task Force -Technical Committee, and Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful – Graffiti Hurts Task Force.
